Lindsay Shiver says life has been ‘really tough’ after being accused of plotting to kill her husband with her Bahamian lover and a hitman, according to the New York Post.
Shiver, 36, and her barman boyfriend Terrance Bethel, 28, are accused of plotting with alleged hitman Faron Newbold, 29, to murder Robert Shiver as he vacationed in the Abaco Islands.
As part of her $100,000 bail agreement Shiver was spotted checking in with authorities at the Nassau, Bahamas Police Department where she told the outlet: ‘It’s been really tough.’
She stared blankly, eyes glazed and expressionless in a police mugshot taken after her arrest, which was obtained by DailyMail.com – but appeared to be in freshly changed clothing for the first time in over a week when speaking to the outlet.
The mom-of-three wore a white Nike hat, gray hooded jumper and black exercise pants for the occasion.

‘I really cant say too much right now. It’s been hard. But I can’t speak about it,’ she said to the outlet adding that she’d been advised not to by her attorneys in the case.
Shiver was also carrying a manila envelope, as she arrived at the precinct in a rented Kia sedan.
‘Now I’m having issues with my car. I have to deal with that now on top of everything else. But I really can’t say anything more. I’m sorry. Thank you for being respectful,’ she explained before departing for her leased condo.
Shiver is expected to remain at her residence between 8pm and 5am and check in with local authorities three times a week.
She’s also required to remain in Nassau while she waits for an October court date and is prohibited from contacting her husband or coming within 100 feet of him.
Sources told the Post that she’s likely to be visited by relatives after spending nearly three weeks in prison.
Prosecutors say the trio discussed the attempted hit over WhatsApp before Shiver sent a photo of Robert, who filed for divorce in April, to Newbold – along with the instruction: ‘kill him.’
The petite former cheerleader was fitted with a GPS ankle monitor and released on $100,000 bail Wednesday after 19 days inside Nassau’s Fox Hill Prison, notorious for its overcrowded, grim conditions and rampant violence.
Shiver was also ordered to live on the island as she awaits trial, abide by a curfew, and must report to the police station three times a week
Shiver was wearing a $6,000 diamond-studded Cartier love bracelet but did not appear to be wearing a wedding ring on her immaculately manicured fingers
Earlier she was seen being transported to the police station in red handcuffs
Incredibly, Shiver wore a $6,000 diamond-studded Cartier love bracelet throughout her spell in incarceration because guards couldn’t find a key or tool to unlock it.
When the former beauty pageant winner appeared in court, lawyers referred to her as Lindsay Shirley Shiver – Shirley being her maiden name – and she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring.
She smiled and whispered to Bethel and Newbold as all three sat in a caged dock charged with conspiracy to commit murder – an offense which carries a 30 to 60-year prison sentence.
Judge Cheryl Grant-Thompson told Shiver she would have to surrender her passport to a US embassy official but could apply to have it returned on a ‘case by case basis.’
She’ll have to live at a rented Nassau property, report to a police station three times a week, abide by an 8pm to 6am curfew and can’t go within 100 feet of her estranged husband.
‘I’m ordering your immediate release as all of the requirements have been satisfied,’ the judge told Shiver, who timidly replied ‘ok’ but said nothing more throughout the ten-minute hearing.
Insurance mogul Robert is safely back at the $2.5million marital home in Thomasville, Georgia, with their boys aged four, six, and 10.
His family are regular visitors to sun-steeped Abaco where they own property in Baker’s Bay, an ultra-exclusive resort where Tom Brady, Justin Timberlake and Michael Jordan have sprawling coastal mansions.
DailyMail.com previously reported that Shiver has spent the past several months jetting back and forth from Georgia to the Caribbean to see Bethel, a barman at a nearby beach bar.
Meanwhile, Shiver’s lover, Terrance Bethel, 28, who was released on bail last week, was seen reporting to the police station on Wednesday
Alleged hitman for hire, Faron Newbold, 29, was also seen reporting to the Nassau Central Police Station on Wednesday
The two accused co-conspirators left the facility together later Wednesday afternoon
Her family and friends begged her to ‘come to her senses’ and end the fling when Robert found out about it and filed for divorce, according to a well-placed source.
By then his wife of 13 years had become ‘completely obsessed’ with the handsome, younger man, it’s claimed.
Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com this week, Bethel declared his love for Shiver and said the marriage was on the rocks long before he came on the scene.
He predicted the case against them would fall apart because cops have blown a few heated remarks out of all proportion.
‘Go and get the transcripts from the police,’ the bar worker and businessman fumed in his first public comments.
‘They have had both of my phones for three weeks. They’ve been through every single message – there’s nothing there.
‘None of us have anything to hide. People are taking everything at face value and defaming us.’
Prosecutors will have to prove the three were engaged in a credible plot and not just sounding off if they are to persuade a jury of their guilt.
The scheme emerged by chance when the management at Grabbers, a rum-soaked waterfront bar where staffer Bethel first hit it off with a vacationing Shiver, reported a break-in to police around July 20.
Fox Hill, also known as the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services, is plagued by ‘overcrowding, poor nutrition, inadequate sanitation, poor ventilation, and inadequate medical care’, according to the US State Department

The thief had cut power cables and disabled the generator to ensure security cameras wouldn’t work before slipping inside the office to ransack a safe.
Fearing the work of an insider, cops insisted on looking at Bethel’s phone and stumbled across unrelated messages in which he allegedly told childhood pal Newbold he wanted to ‘murder’ Robert.
Sources say that Shiver suspected that her estranged husband was exerting influence to make life hard for her new lover.
She sent Newbold a picture of Robert along with an alleged instruction to murder him, it’s claimed, leading to all three being arrested on July 21 and flown to Nassau, the Bahamian capital, to face charges.
The two men were released on $20,000 bail last week.
Linsay and Robert Shiver were scheduled to square off on July 20 in Thomas County Superior Court, where they filed explosive counterclaims against one another in a hostile custody battle.
While Robert accused his wife of cheating, she countered with accusations of ‘physical and mentally cruel treatment’.
Shiver claimed her supposed affair was during a time of separation and was ‘legally condoned by husband’, according to court documents.
Her attorney suggested Robert was abusive, writing in a restraining order request: ‘(Lindsay) feels unsafe in the marital home and has installed locks on the interior doors of the home for protection.
‘(Robert) has abused the wife in the home in the children’s presence on multiple occasions, not only physically but also mentally and emotionally.’
Alabama native Shiver graduated from Auburn University, where the two met in 2007 while Robert was captain of the football team.

In his divorce filing after discovering the affair, Robert sought custody of their three children and total ownership of their Georgia mansion. The pair met in 2007 while studying at Auburn University where Robert was captain of the football team
Robert is the son of Allen Shiver, who served for more than four decades as CEO of Flowers Foods before stepping down in 2019 from the $5 billion company.
The pair have three sons together with the youngest just four years old. He proudly mentions his children in his Instagram profile which reads: ‘Dad to the trio!’
Robert signed with the NFL team Atlanta Falcons as a free agent but was let go in roster cuts ahead of the 2009 season and eventually became executive vice president for Senior Life Insurance Company.
Lindsay was named Miss Houston County in 2005 and finished second in the National Peanut Festival pageant.
DailyMail.com previously unmasked Newbold – alias Faylo – as a music producer and son of a local politician in Marsh Harbour, the main town in Abaco.
His day job is working as a structural engineer for a power company and friends have laughed off suggestions he was moonlighting as a killer-for-hire.
‘I’ve told you guys, I’ll speak to you when my lawyer says it’s OK,’ Newbold said Friday, after DailyMail.com tracked him down to a smart new home he built himself.
No charges have been filed in relation to the alleged robbery at Grabbers.
