Jacob Elordi’s Diamond-Set Cartier Tank Has Us Swooning

This isn’t the first time Gen Z superstar Jacob Elordi rocked a Cartier Tank in public, and we doubt it’ll be the last.

The Euphoria star, previously spotted wearing a Tank Normale in 18-karat yellow gold, seems to have a soft spot for the iconic dress watch. Though he was once an ambassador for TAG Heuer, it’s the Tank that he’s worn to two separate appearances while promoting Sofia Coppola’s new film Priscilla, in which he plays Elvis. This week, he pulled out yet another beautiful model, a diamond-studded Tank Must, on The Today Show, proving that the moderately sized, slim-wearing watch is alive and well among today’s young collectors.

Unlike the solid-gold Normale, the Tank Must is more of a bare-bones, entry-level model. This particular version, however, adds diamonds to the watch’s famous brancards, turning a somewhat pedestrian reference into a stealthy flex with 42 brilliant-cut stones and a synthetic cabochon crown. Powered by a high-autonomy quartz movement, it might not have the Normale’s horological cachet, but it should certainly appeal to watch lovers both casual and serious—and it’s fairly widely available for $6,850.

In case you missed the Must craze: Back in the 1970s, Cartier released an affordable line of paired-down fare—watches, perfumes, and more—that offered the maison’s class at a more palatable price. Another year has passed in a flash, and you’ve once again forgotten to sort Halloween costumes.

The big day is just around the corner, and your little ones are excited for trick-or-treating, but don’t worry. All is not lost.

Although you could head to the high street and try to cobble together a costume out of what’s left in the shops, you can save your money and do something far more personal yourself.

We’ve rounded up some last-minute DIY costumes for Halloween that they’ll never know were made in a flash — and we don’t mean toilet paper mummies or bedsheet ghosts.

21 Paris Fashion Week 2023 Moments That Shocked & Awed

Paris Fashion Week, the most anticipated final leg of fashion month, is officially over. Between the sartorial wonders on runways and the top-tier front-row guest permutations, PFW did not disappoint with countless moments causing a stir among the fashion set.

The surprises started before PFW had even officially commenced, with shocking headlines putting a spotlight on an upcoming show. Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing announced that pieces from his unreleased collection were stolen from a delivery van a mere 10 days before they were set to hit the runway. While the garments were never recovered, Balmain’s team put on an incredible show punctuated by lots and lots of rosettes.

Several other collections took inspiration from the bloom (read: Alexander McQueen’s Georgia O’Keeffe-inspired dress), while buzzy collections spotlighted other living creatures. At Undercover, for example, live butterflies fluttered inside terrarium dresses. Meanwhile, at Schiaparelli, lobsters were front and center, hanging from necks, waists, and crotches alike.

Off the runway, A-listers also wowed in chic ensembles. SATC fans were thrilled when Kim Cattrall made her first PFW appearance, while Selena Gomez became an instant fashion week darling.

Kylie Jenner, too, fueled fashion Twitter chatter with chic ‘fits featuring intriguing styling notes. And towards the end of Paris Fashion Week, Zendaya finally made her appearance and stunned in a plunging zipper dress.

Every designer’s worst nightmare happened just before Balmain’s Spring 2024 show. While garments from the new collection were in transit, the delivery vehicle was hijacked and nearly 50 pieces were stolen.

Though, the team was able to recreate several of the lost items, the original garments have yet to be recovered.

Power Pearls

We love a trend that evolves over time which is exactly what this year’s runways have forecasted for pearl jewelry. While multi-strand necklaces and delicate earrings shaped this fall’s approach, pearls for Spring/Summer 2024 are decidedly more bold. At Kimhekim and Sixdo, larger-than-life pearls were worn at statement necklaces. Meanwhile, at Versace, dramatic jacket pearl earrings veered far from the delicate studs of previous seasons.

Zendaya Looks Like a Goddess at Louis Vuitton Show

Zendaya was a heavenly sight at the Louis Vuitton spring/summer runway show on Monday, October 2.

The 27-year-old actress (a.k.a. fashion’s favorite “It Girl”) arrived at the Paris Fashion Week event, commanding attention in a crisp white gown. The eye-catching number featured a plunging neckline that was equipped with zip-up construction. The dress was finished with gold chain straps and a cascading train, making Zendaya look like a real-life goddess. 

The Euphoria star accessorized with metallic jewelry and wore her brunette locks bone straight. For glam, she donned rosy cheeks, sharp brows, a pink lip and dramatic lashes. She completed her look with a delicate pink manicure.

Zendaya’s appearance at the presentation comes after she attended the luxury label’s spring/summer menswear show — Pharrell Williams’ first as the brand’s artistic director — in June. Williams’ role with Louis Vuitton succeeded the late Virgil Abloh who held the position from 2018 to his death at age 41 in November 2021. (The Chicago native passed away following a private battle with cancer.)

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade stepped out for a fashionable date night in New York City.

The couple made the streets of New York City their personal runway on Wednesday, September 20. For the outing, Union, 50, slayed in a gray maxi dress finished with a strapless neckline and a flowy skirt. She rocked the frock with a thin off-white coat, finished with a tailored collar and a slight train.

Styled by Thomas Christos Kikis, Union accessorized with a white Prada handbag, diamond rings and black pointed-toe boots. For glam, she donned natural foundation, orange eyeshadow blended into her crease, matching glitter on her lids, rosy cheeks, a warm contour, filled-in eyebrows, long lashes and glossy lips. Her brunette tresses were slicked back and twisted into an updo.

Wade, 41, for his part, held Union’s hand and looked super stylish in a sparkly chevron patterned set. He paired the jacket and pants with a navy blue T-shirt, a diamond necklace, sparkly stud earrings and snazzy sneakers.

This isn’t the first standout outfit the couple has donned. On Thursday, September 21, they made an appearance at the Fast Company Innovation Festival in NYC — and again killed the style game.

For the event, Union rocked a black silky top featuring a plunging neckline. She tucked the piece into matching pants and added a pop of color to the ensemble with a bright red blazer. The actress made the getup even more exciting with strappy heels and a top-knot bun.
