The Princess of Wales paid a visit this morning to West Yorkshire, where she learned about the United Kingdom’s textile industry. For the occasion, Kate continued her suit streak in a chic royal-green suit by Burberry. Her fitted blazer was lined with brown buttons, and the pleated trousers had a high waist. She styled the set with a breezy white button-down (with the buttons hidden) with a collared V neckline, and a pair of pointy suede pumps with block heels in the same bold green.
Kate put a fresh, modern spin on the stylish nine-to-five ensemble by pairing it with a gold chain choker necklace and little gold hoop earrings embellished with tiny white pearls.
As per usual, she kept her makeup natural, with a pink lip and subtle smoky eye, and wore her hair down in silky waves.
Kate visited two textile mills: AW Hainsworth in Pudsey, and Standfast & Barracks in Lancaster.
At Hainsworth, Kate learned about the company’s investment in its people and education, and got a refresher on the rich history of the textile industry, per Kensington Palace. She also learned about the British royal family’s heritage in textiles and historic connection to fashion in the U.K. and abroad. The second engagement, at Standfast & Barracks, focused on the importance of meaningful partnerships in the textile industry, especially when it comes to fueling innovation and working toward a more sustainable future.
