Billie Eilish has arrived at the 2023 Met Gala.
The “Happier Than Ever” singer made a statement on the carpeted steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where attendees are dressing according to this year’s theme, “in honor of Karl,” which pays tribute to the legacy of late great designer Karl Lagerfeld.
The musician exuded glamour in a custom Simone Rocha ensemble, comprised of a black bustier minidress bedazzled with silver embellishments and a full-length sheer overlay with lace detailing at the high mock neckline and flowing hem.
She added matching sheer opera-length gloves with sequined detailing, thigh-high sheer stockings, and matching black platform stilettos by Piferi, capping off the look with an array of silver Cartier jewelry and sequined barrettes. Her long black hair was wrapped in ribbons and trailed over her shoulder.
This is Eilish’s third time appearing at the Met Gala.
She first attended in 2021 as a co-chair, when she channeled Old Hollywood glamor in a magnificent champagne ball gown with a dramatically long train, courtesy of Oscar de la Renta. The voluminous tulle piece included cold shoulders and a corseted bodice, and was paired with dazzling diamond drop earrings and stacks of diamond bracelets and rings.
The musician also attended last year’s Gala. At the time, she honored the “Gilded Glamour” theme in an ornate Gucci gown. The piece featured a shiny icy blue and beige corset adorned with a lavender flower, plus a gathered off-white skirt and mint green lace sleeves. She accessorized with a black bejeweled choker necklace, diamond drop earrings, and gemstone rings.
